Multiple Carbohydrates for Maximum Energy Boost and Gut Tolerance
ACTIVE VITA is the only drink mix formulated with 4 types of carbohydrates taking the glycaemic index (GI), carbohydrate glucose transporters and the 2:1 glucose to fructose ratio into consideration.
Fructose has a GI of about 25, sucrose about 65, glucose 100 and maltodextrin 115. This means they get digested at very different rates (slow to very fast). Using all 4 types of carbohydrates means you get slower to very fast absorbing carbohydrates. Therefore, meeting instant or longer term energy needs.
Unknowingly, some athletes may struggle to digest one of these types of carbohydrates. Therefore, with several other carbohydrates available in the drink mix they still get a hefty dose of energy delivered.
We stuck with the 2:1 glucose to fructose ratio, as fructose can be harder to digest. With the 1:0.8 ratio it means you are getting more fructose per dose, which may not sit well with a lot of athletes and cause gut issues.
With the above in mind, you may find it easier to consume higher doses with less gut issues.

We added Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) as during exercise, our body can break down muscle and use it as a fuel source. The BCAAs therefore, help minimize potential muscle damage from exercise, reduce creatine kinase levels (an enzyme released when muscle tissue is damaged), and reduce perceived muscle soreness.
BCAAs also help improve muscle protein synthesises, and net protein balance. BCAAs are the most effective proteins to rebuild muscle and using them in a 2:1:1 ratio, further enhances their protein synthesis capabilities.
